Walid Al-Hashash

Walid Al-Hashash is the chairman of Nordic Energy Services & Chairman of Highleigh Oil & Gas services. Both are part of the Energy House Holding (an energy arm of Kuwait Finance House) in Kuwait.

He also chaired Rubban Logistics Holding from 2007-2013 during which he also was representing Aref Group in many companies in and outside Kuwait ( in Azeribaijan/ Sudan / UAE/ USA). Prior to joining Rubban, Hashash spent 18 years working in the International Commercial oil trade with the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), where his last post was deputy managing director of International marketing. In that role, Hashash was responsible for crude oil sales, managing regional offices in the US, UK, Japan, and India with a total portfolio of approximately US $27 billion ( by 2006/7). In addition, Hashash was in charge of jet fuel, bunker & diesel sales and IT services.

Hashash spent five years as an electrical engineer for the Kuwait Municipality.

In addition to serving as a member of the MEGlobal board (JV between PIC & Dow Chemical between 2009 AND 2012), Hashash serves on the Boards of the Nile River Transport Company in Sudan, and Chairman of AREF Energy in Kuwait. He was also Chairman of Gulf Africa Holding (GAH) in Kuwait.

Hashash is a Kuwaiti citizen and holds a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, and a Masters in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami both in the United States.



Ahmed Mouti

Biographical Notes (2017)

Ahmed Mouti is a senior oil and gas executive who offers more than 20 years of accomplishment-laden industry experience. He has held several senior leadership positions in the USA, Europe, and the Middle East covering oil, gas, chemicals, trading, and financial with many international companies including Royal Dutch Shell, Koch Petroleum International, and El Junah Capital LLC. He has a proven track record of leadership and building and managing international oil and gas business organizations.

Mr. Mouti is an advisor to the CEO of First Energy Bank, a private investment bank in Bahrain, Prior to that, Mr. Mouti led the energy investment and advisory services, as President and Managing Partner, at El Junah Capital, LLC. in the USA.

He served as the Chairman of the Shell Companies in Kuwait, Managing Director of Kuwait Shell Limited, and Director of Shell Kuwait Exploration and Production. He was also Royal Dutch Shell Group Corporate Strategy Advisor advising the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Committee in London where he provided reviews, analysis, challenge, context, and guidance to Group level strategy development and communication. His industry roles included General Manager of Business Development for Shell's Upstream Americas, Head of Strategy, MENA, Senior Upstream Advisor, MENA, Caspian & South Asia, for Shell International Exploration & Production International, and Director of Market Analytics, Vice President, Marketing and Origination, and Vice President, European Operations for the Houston-based Shell Chemical Risk Management Company.

Prior to joining Shell in 1998, Mr. Mouti held various business and commercial roles with increasing responsibilities with Koch Petroleum International and other companies. He holds a Bachelor's of Art degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the American University in Paris, an MBA and MIM in International Management and Finance from Thunderbird, School of Global Management. He is also an alumnus of The Prince of Wales's Business & the Environment Program at the University of Cambridge, the Oxford Energy Seminar at the University of Oxford, and the Executive Leadership Program at INSEAD in Singapore.

Mr. Mouti was a member of the Advisory Board of Kuwait University College of Petroleum Engineering for 4 years where he established the Shell Gas Chair. He is frequently invited to participate in board meetings and round table discussions of several Think Tanks in the USA and in Europe. He is also a member of Mudara Institute of Directors in Dubai.



Mr. Hussain Esmaiel

Mr. Esmaiel is the Founding Partner of GEMS Group, founded in 2014.

Mr. Esmaiel holds BSC Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, USA. Mr. Esmaiel spent most of his career in the downstream sector of KPC. Following senior management positions in refineries in Kuwait, he was appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) in 2007.

Mr. Esmaiel led the KPI team in planning and implementing the $9 billion Vietnam Refinery & Petrochemical Project (NSRP), a multinational joint venture. He also led KPI's continuing efforts to develop a Refinery and Petrochemical Plant in China, in joint venture with SINOPEC. He lead the transformation and restructuring of KPI's retail business.

He was chairman/board member in several companies inside and outside Kuwait.

His areas of expertise cover operational excellence, project management, HSSE, HR and organizational transformation.



Ibrahim M. El Tinay

Possessing vast managing directorship and CEO experience, always ensuring that clear objectives and expectations are delivered and maintained.

Mr. El Tinay areas of expertise are many among them Developing new markets, International business development, Relationship management. Among his Business achievements, Signing a deal to acquire 49 percent of Shandong Dongming Petrochemical Group, China’s largest independent oil refiner, worth $5billion,which includes building 1,000 petrol stations and a LNG terminal. He negotiated directly with Qinzhou government and was successful in signing a deal for the LNG Terminal. Mr. El Tinay has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and MBA from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology. He is a published freelance writer.
